Panel Coated on Both Sides

Any panel may be finished on both sides, either in the same or a different color, with the same or a different type of coating.

Typical applications are panels for balconies (minimum thickness: 12 mm, 15/32 inches), perforated partition walls partly visible from both sides, windbreaker panels, sliding shutters, louvers, etc. Additional customized treatments such as perforations, etc. are, of course, also possible.

Perforations

These different appealing solutions are SWISSPEARL® specialties based on the integrally colored panel platform and Swiss expertise. They offer huge exclusive additional designing possibilities and are thus fantastic options for giving a unique, special touch to every high profile building.

Creativity solutions are provided with an outstanding finishing quality. They may be used individually or in combination together with plain SWISSPEARL panels in the same or different shades or with other materials. Holes, slots and other shaped perforations allow very unusual effects. Perforated panels may have a function (lighting, sliding shutters, wind-screens, separation, sound absorption, etc.) or be purely decorative. Perforations are normally chamfered, which provides a high quality finishing aspect.

3-D Ornaments

Geometric designs, custom patterns at random, company logo, etc. - the creative possibilities are unlimited. Ornaments may be within a panel, change from one panel to the other or run over several panels to create a bigger pattern or be combines with plain panels.

Also color possibilities are huge depending on the color of surface finishing and core: same shade, slight or big difference in shades, elegant contrasts, etc. that can even be increased with custom colors. All ornaments are chamfered to approx. 45° with high fabricating quality and fully surface finished with a transparent or tinted coating. Depending on the number of surface finishings, shades may be slightly different from plain panels within same color reference.

Inclined Façades

For roof shaped façades inclined more than 5° from the vertical, CARAT and XPRESSIV panels require a special surface treatment to cater for increased exposure to the climate. Such surface coating modifies the surface aspect, which deviates from a standard panel. Façades inclined inwards and REFLEX panels do not need such treatment.

Decorative Elements

Visible, emphasized fasteners are an interesting way to give an additional dimension to the façade design. The subtle interplay of texture and shade of the panels, of color and geometry of the exposed fasteners and the resulting shadows opens up appealing design possibilities for contemporary expression. Decorative fasteners are available in galvanized plain aluminum and partly in stainless steel for screws and rivets.
